This isn't really a bug in elfutils because the issue is with Ubuntu's
debuginfod servers but I don't know where else to report this bug.
My DEBUGINFOD_URLS environment variable is pointing at the Ubuntu
servers:
$ echo $DEBUGINFOD_URLS
https://debuginfod.ubuntu.com
This is the correct URL as documented here:
https://ubuntu.com/server/docs/how-to/debugging/about-debuginfod/
However the servers do not respond:
$ time debuginfod-find debuginfo /usr/bin/ls
Server query failed: Timer expired
real 6m43.527s
user 0m0.013s
sys 0m0.019s
It appears that the Ubuntu debuginfo servers are down.
$ wget --spider --tries 1 --timeout 10 'https://debuginfod.ubuntu.com'

I'm using Ubuntu 24.04 but I was able to reproduce this bug in an Ubuntu 26.04
virtual machine.
