I help maintain a bunch of other debuginfod services, and monitor their operation via prometheus. Ubuntu's server has started showing errors (database corruption) a week or two ago. A few days ago, it stopped responding to requests entirely.
It may be sufficient to delete the /var/cache/debuginfod/debuginfod.sqlite file entirely, then restart the server.
