Public bug reported:

After upgrading the packages on 25.10 kubuntu (which installed Linux
6.17.0-29), display is freezing when the 2nd monitor is connected. If
two monitors are connected during boot, display freezes within a few
seconds after logging in. If booting with a single monitor, it works
fine until the second monitor is connected - after connecting, it hangs
within a few seconds.

This doesn't happen when booting into the previous kernel version,
6.17.0-20.

Using KDE on Wayland; graphics:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Coffee Lake-S GT2 [UHD
Graphics P630]
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GP104GLM [Quadro P3200
Mobile] (rev a1)

prime-select set to on-demand.

This seems very similar to AskUbuntu question for 26.01 [1], except that
for me, the display freezes even when not moving the mouse on the second
monitor. It is sufficient that the 2nd display is connected. According
to this AskUbuntu question, the issue was fixed with the next
kernel/nvidia update on 26.04, but apparently not on 25.10.
