giving a 26.10 cycle update: 1. nothing much has changed with libcryptx-perl itself. The issues raised are still there 2. no progress on introducing a specific package. 3. my suggested package, libnet-ssleay-perl, still does not support ed25519. I found an older issue raised for it: https://github.com/radiator-software/p5-net-ssleay/issues/286 4. added complication, in general for libraries, is openssl 4 transition. this would not affect libcryptx-perl (one of the problems really :P), however it does affect libnet-ssleay-perl. Ravi has already fixed the openssl 4 build of libnet-ssleay-perl but grabbing an upstream commit (upstream master supports openssl4, but they haven't done a release yet)
So that leaves this MIR where it is, and a suitable replacement for the _reason_ behind the MIR is not accomplished. ** Bug watch added: github.com/radiator-software/p5-net-ssleay/issues #286 https://github.com/radiator-software/p5-net-ssleay/issues/286 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2046154 Title: [MIR] libcryptx-perl (libmail-dkim-perl dependency) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libcryptx-perl/+bug/2046154/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
