After the update of libheif 1 and the related plugins the plasmashell crash.
The gui become unresponsive but the system is up (I can login with alt+f3 int
the text terminal without gui) reading dmesg I found complaints about apparmor
permissions.
I'm using an AMD radeon graphic card with two monitors one on the hdmi
connector and the other on the other
on the VGA connector.
After some search in many forums I've tried to apply some advice and
I've placed on /etc/default/grub the following options :
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="amdgpu.dcdebugmask=0x12 quiet splash
drm_kms_helper.poll=0"
and I've applied the "update-grub"command"
but this alone doesn't solve the problem
At this point, desperate, I'we reinstalled (both in the two machines currently
used) the one using the 24.04 LTS and the one upgraded to 26.04 LTS with the
intallation image.
and I've marked on hold the "libhei1" (and all the related plug-ins) all of
these marked on old.
Doing so the problem "magically"disappears.
