This bug is related to #2152906 (Firefox PDF opening with default system application looks different in Ubuntu 26.04 compared to 25.10).
The root cause appears to be the same: Firefox Snap uses an app ID format (`snap.firefox.firefox`) that differs from what the XDG portal expects (`firefox`). When Firefox asks for the default handler for a file type, the portal returns no match, causing the "Open with..." dialog to appear every time. A patch has already been proposed in #2152906 (by Ingo Schabisch) and tested on Ubuntu 26.04 with xdg-desktop-portal 1.21.1.
