Same laptop (ASUS Vivobook 15 M1502XA, BIOS M1502XA.302), Ubuntu
26.04.1, kernel 7.0.0-38-generic: same symptom and same dmesg lines as
the original report.
Extra data:
- DSDT (_SB.PCI0.PS2K, _CID PNP0303) declares the keyboard interrupt as:
Interrupt (ResourceConsumer, Edge, ActiveHigh, Shared, , ) { 0x00000001 }
- MADT (dmesg): ACPI: INT_SRC_OVR (bus 0 bus_irq 1 global_irq 1 low edge)
- /proc/interrupts: "1: 0 0 0 ... IR-IO-APIC 1-edge i8042" (counter stays at 0
on all CPUs; no keyboard IRQ is ever delivered)
So the DSDT here is not Level/ActiveLow like the Vivobooks fixed via
irq1_level_low_skip_override, and the MADT and DSDT disagree on polarity
(low vs high). A plain DMI entry in that table may not be enough. Happy
to test patched kernels.
