I have an ASUS Vivobook 15 M1502XA (Ryzen 7 7840HS) and I can confirm
the internal keyboard does not work on Ubuntu 26.04 with kernel
7.0.0-38-generic.

Observations from dmesg (stock kernel):
text

ACPI: INT_SRC_OVR (bus 0 bus_irq 1 global_irq 1 low edge)
i8042: PNP: PS/2 Controller [PNP0303:PS2K] at 0x60,0x64 irq 1
atkbd serio0: Failed to deactivate keyboard on isa0060/serio0
atkbd serio0: Failed to enable keyboard on isa0060/serio0

What I have tried:
I patched drivers/acpi/resource.c and added a DMI entry for M1502XA to the
irq1_edge_low_force_override[] table, as suggested in the original report. The
entry is:
c

{
    /* ASUS Vivobook 15 M1502XA */
    .matches = {
        DMI_MATCH(DMI_BOARD_NAME, "M1502XA"),
    },
},

Build details:

    I compiled the kernel using make bindeb-pkg LOCALVERSION="-kbd" from
the Ubuntu 7.0.0 source tree.

    I verified the patch is present in the source: grep -n "M1502XA"
drivers/acpi/resource.c returns the entry.

    However, after installing and booting the custom kernel (uname -r
shows 7.0.14-kbd), strings /boot/vmlinuz-7.0.14-kbd | grep -x "M1502XA"
returns nothing, and dmesg still shows low edge.

Important observation from another user with the same model:
In a comment to this bug, another M1502XA user noted that the DSDT declares the
keyboard IRQ as Edge, ActiveHigh, while the MADT reports it as low edge. They
suggested that a simple DMI entry in irq1_edge_low_force_override[] may be
insufficient for this model.

My question:
Given the DSDT/MADT mismatch for M1502XA, what is the correct approach? Should
the entry be added to irq1_level_low_skip_override[] instead (to skip the
override), or does this model require a more complex fix in the ACPI IRQ
override logic? I am willing to test patches and provide further logs.
