[Impact]
After upgrading linux-firmware-amd-graphics from
20240318.git3b128b60-0ubuntu3.3 to 0ubuntu3.4 on Linux Mint 22.3 (noble base,
kernel 7.0.0-42-generic HWE), a Radeon RX 9070 XT (Navi 48, 1002:7550, DCN
4.0.1) no longer gets working display firmware. The machine boots but Xorg
aborts in the modesetting driver on every start and lightdm exhausts its
restart limit, so there is no login screen. Downgrading just the
dcn_4_0_1_dmcub.bin.zst file to the 0ubuntu3.3 copy fixes it.
[Cause]
In 0ubuntu3.4 the DCN 4.0.1 DMUB firmware is packaged as a symlink to the DCN
3.2 blob. From the .deb:

In 0ubuntu3.3 it is a real 225553-byte file (sha256
ecd8d2b8c2ccd5cc58cde4e18f5987b7a125797494cd02ccdb70ea654b560f61). The
0ubuntu3.4 changelog entry "amdgpu: update dmcub fw for dcn32 and
dcn401" (LP: #2168847) presumably intended distinct blobs; the build's
file de-duplication appears to have collapsed them.

[Workaround]
Restore dcn_4_0_1_dmcub.bin.zst from 0ubuntu3.3 and hold the package.
[Environment]
Linux Mint 22.3 (noble), linux-image 7.0.0-42-generic (HWE), xorg-server
2:21.1.12-1ubuntu1.9, GPU 1002:7550 subsys 148C:2435 (XFX RX 9070 XT), iGPU
1002:164e also present. A second machine with the same GPU still on 0ubuntu3.3
works; a machine with an RX 7800 XT (DCN 3.2) is not affected by the symlink.
