I downloaded and booted from the image http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-
live/current/hardy-desktop-i386.iso and the LiveCD session shows no
changes - still 800x600, still no working DDC:

Is it worth installing this to HDD or is failure on LiveCD sufficient?
