I do use it, just not directly. I run my own mirror off of it.

fi.archive.ubuntu.com is a mirror Ubuntu points installs to. It should
work. Sometimes it does not. That is the point.

What is the point of marking real problems as invalid without even
looking at the issue? Why comment on it if you do not understand the
issue?

"Test a local mirror and report back if notice the bug." -- I just said
that it is a race condition. It would require unreasonable amounts of
testing to verify that it is gone.

To really verify the problem is fixed, you need to check how the mirror
in question works. That needs sysadmin access to the mirror host. If you
don't have that, please don't mark this as an invalid bug.
