Hi, Paul. If there is a problem with the SD card, how does the XP mount it automatically? Remember, I have a dual boot PC. So, I use the same computer and the same periphericals, with mixed results: using XP, it ALWAYS works right. Using Ubuntu 8.04, it NEVER mounts automatically.
It does not fail in mounting automatically OCCASIONALY. It NEVER mounts automatically. If there is a problem with the SD card, why it works if I mount it manually using Ubuntu 8.04? Paul, everytime I inserted this SD card in my card reader, it mounted automatically. That day (3 months ago) I put the SD card in my PC and it mounted automatically. Then I decided to reformat the SD card. For compatibility reasons, I decided not to format using Windows or Ubuntu, but to use the Palm Tx device instead. After reformatting it NEVER MORE mounted automatically under Ubuntu 8.04. I'm not being able to mount automatically my SD card for 3 months. Not a single time! This is far from being OCCASIONALLY. Have you tried to reproduce the error? Please, at least try to reproduce the error. It'll cost you only 3 minutes of your time. I bet you haven't tried to reproduce the error. It doesn't happen OCCASIONALLY. It happens ALLWAYS! Please, write to me saying "I tried to reproduce this error and my SD card mounted automatically". Obs: my SD card has 1Gb.
