Add me to the "don't have a close button" throng, for two reasons.
1.  Much smaller target == much slower to click.
2.  If you're just about to click something underneath where the
    notification appears, you shouldn't have to move out of the way to
    close the notification, then back to click the original item. You
    should be able to just click twice.

Given that, the whole bubble needs to look clickable, which means having bevelled edges. The current appearance has too fat an outline.
I also like the idea of using the same color as tooltips normally do.
