J'imagine que les cartes intel (aussi mauvaises soient-elles) suportent le standard VESA. Tu devrais essay� de mettre Xorg en vesa.

Je ne sais pas si tu connais Xorg (ou XFree), dans le cas ou tu ne connais pas, voici un peu d'aide sur Xorg:
Les log sont dans /var/log/Xorg.log.0, tu pourras y trouver ce qui ne va pas dans ta config.
La config est dans le fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Il y a plusieurs sections, dont une d�di�e � ta carte vid�o (<< Section "Device" >>).

exemple:
Section "Device"
        Identifier  "Videocard0"
        Driver      "mga"
        VendorName  "Videocard vendor"
        BoardName   "Matrox Millennium G450"
EndSection

Essaye de remplacer ton Driver "i7xx" ou "i8xx" ou je ne sais quoi par vesa. Tu perdra l'acceleration 2D, donc tu auras un affichage plus lent.

Mais sur un serveur, ce n'est s�rement pas tr�s grave. A ce propos, pourquoi Ubuntu sur un serveur ? C'est un peu lourd, non ?

J'ai fait l'installation de la derni�re version de Ubuntu sur un serveur Dell Sc-420.

Tout c'est bien pass�, sauf qu'a la fin, j'ai un message que le X... ne fonctionne pas.

Selon Dell, le chipset est un Intel E7221.

Selon vos exp�riences, est-il possible de monter un serveur Linux Ubuntu avec ce Dell.

Note, je d�bute avec Linux.
