While crawling the ubuntu wiki today, I stumbled upon these two[0][1] wiki pages on ubuntu-in members and ubuntu-in promoters[2]. The crux was to acknowledge the contribution towards local community by giving them @ubuntu-in.org email aliases (akin to ubuntu membership). Somehow, I think the project didn't take off as no activity is seen after late 2008.
Should the project be revived? I am inclined to say yes, as that something extra always encourages to be more involved with the community.
