This is something I have difficulty getting my head around. As I understand it, software patents aren't valid in the UK or most other European countries are they? If that's true, all of the fuss around shipping a distro with DVD, MP3 support etc really effects the American's more than other people then surely? If all that stands up, (unless I'm totally wrong, which has been known :-P ) then why not ship Ubuntu US and Ubuntu UK edition for instance. With one edition shipping ready to rock as it where....
