The Ubuntu community could do with a coordinated marketing effort, and that requires leadership. If an appropriate person is thinking of stepping up to the plate to lead the team where no other persons have expressed an interest, I say go for it. In the event that multiple persons step up to the plate then some system of selection should be taken and a leader (or leaders) of the team chosen. Without leadership this team is destined to languish, whither and die or meander aimlessly. Just my 2p. I propose a meeting where this is discussed is arranged for sometime "soon", and is added to the calendar and promoted as necessary.
