We live in the internet era. How many ads have you seen on TV for Wikipedia, Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc? If you're selling toilet paper, diapers or shaving gel, or other products that everyone needs, then TV is still a very effective channel. In other cases, recommendations from people you trust is far more effective. In this day and age, word of mouth can litterally mean global attention in a very short timespan. Facebook was launched in 2004 and claims half a billion customers who pay with their eyes. We don't need TV. We need to find and attract the people who would have most to gain from using Ubuntu. Then we need to inspire them to talk about it to their friends, write about it on their blogs and on their social networking sites. I don't think anyone has ever had more cause to use the expression "The more, the merrier" than we do.
