I have 12.04 plus KXStudio wich is quite the same as US and PA does not cause any serious trouble anymore. It only messes up some mixer-settings but only for apps that are irrelevant for music-production (namely Skype) performance-wise there are absolutely *no* issues caused by PA anymore. I can record in Ardour from Youtube with no glitches ;-) > The issue > is the dreaded "skipping" problem. > > Currently I have the Live version running (and waiting to pull the trigger > until I have a bit more information). > > Has anyone experienced the dreaded skipping in Ubuntu Studio?
