I slightly disagree.  On the rare occasion where 2 people might create 
duplicate 
translations of the same strings but in different places this actually helps us 
by giving choices when the strings eventually bump into each other as 1 goes 
downstream and the other goes upstream.  Often there is a worry that not enough 
people check the quality of translations but a duplication would effectively 
produce that effect of lots of more ideas working together to produce a better 
result.

Anyway i think that it is still a sufficiently unlikely event that there is not 
much point in wasting time worrying about it.  Hopefully 'soon' this will be 
the 
year of the linux-desktop lol
