Sure. I can watch when ubuntu-docs is in lucid-proposed, make sure the language packs are in there as well at about the same time, and release both ubuntu-docs and the tested language packs to lucid-updates at the same time. I do not have direct control on this, as I'm not a member of the SRU team either, but I can talk to the people working on this. > > If we agree on that, we should probably send a separate e-mail with an > > announcement for the update, mentioning the new templates being > > uploaded, and the translation deadline for docs + other translations in > > the language packs. > > I may have misunderstood, but that is kind of what I had intended to > do in my previous email! > Ah, sorry. What I meant is that we should probably send a separate e-mail announcing the updates and the dates we've agreed on. Although we've discussed this here, this is quite a long thread spanning several months, and I simply thought a dedicated e-mail would better get the message across. I can take care of that. > > As a side note, I think it would be useful to sync such updates with > > point releases on LTSs. I've also been thinking of running a translations calendar for a long time, but so far it did not get past of the idea stage :) Regards, David. -- David Planella Ubuntu Translations Coordinator www.ubuntu.com / www.davidplanella.wordpress.com www.identi.ca/dplanella / www.twitter.com/dplanella
