OK - there was actually an Upgrade option on the 11.10 disk - I chose
that and everything seems to be all hunky dory
All I had to do was to change he screen resolution during the install
(this is a netbook and one of the dialog boxes went off screen so I
couldn't click on the "continue" button) and tore-install Dropbox and
Chrome. Otherwise, all functioning OK!
