Absolutely! I don't believe Mark spoke incorrectly when referencing his own sexual preference, even if he happens to be a white male. I thought Scott Remnant put it well on Planet Ubuntu (http://www.netsplit.com/2009/10/11/on-sexism/) when he said:
"...the very people who are currently attacking Mark would be defending me as a gay man for right to say things like that." I believe it's my responsibility to show love to everyone, but that doesn't mean that I (we) should change behavior just because someone is offended. -Troy -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Darkwing Duck Sent: Thursday, October 15, 2009 10:29 To: Ubuntu US California Subject: Re: [Ubuntu-US-CA] the shirts And may I ask why is that? -----Original Message----- From: Troy Ready <[email protected]> Date: Thu, 15 Oct 2009 10:25:07 To: Ubuntu US California<[email protected]> Subject: Re: [Ubuntu-US-CA] the shirts -- Ubuntu-us-ca mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-us-ca -- Ubuntu-us-ca mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-us-ca -- Ubuntu-us-ca mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-us-ca
