vijay is still having a problem:
in terminal typed as follows
sudo grub
i saw the following
(minimal BOSS-like line editing is supported for the first word, TAB lists
possible command completions. anywhere TAB lists the possible completitions of
a device/file name)
grub>
then i typed the following
find/boot/grub/stage1
it gives as
Error 27: unrecognised command
then i typed
quit
and in the terminal it shows as
el...@elcot-laptop:~$ sudo grub
sudo: unable to resolve host elcot-laptop
probing devices to guess BIOS drives. this may take a long time.
el...@elcot-laptop:~$
