Nothing's being easy here! Menu.lst should open with any simple text
editor.
Hmmm, again to synaptic package manager and this time search for and
install a "text editor gtk", unless you are using Kubuntu rather than
Ubuntu/Xubuntu. Leafpad and scite are good ones. After installing them
you wont need to reboot beore using them to look at the 2 menu.lst
files.
