vijay is still having a problem:
i do the following and shows as
el...@elcot-laptop:~$ cd /etc
el...@elcot-laptop:/etc$ sudo cp hosts hosts.110709
[sudo] password for elcot
el...@elcot-laptop:etc$ ls hosts.110709
hosts.110709
el...@elcot-laptop:/etc$ then i type sudo gedit hosts
then gedit page appears with # The following lines are desirable for IPv6
cabable hosts.then nothing seen below this line.
and in terminal
sudo : unable to resolve host elcot laptop
el...@elcot-laptop: /etc$
i exit terminal and then again in terminal i type
sudo gedit hosts
nothing seen in gedit page.
another thing
when going into the Microsoft windows XP professional it shows error
12:invalid device requested.press any key to continue.
then..?
