HI, so I have this FTP server setup and everything works fine, I am using vsftpd with Ubuntu Desktop Edition. Basically it is setup so customers and login into their own private folders where they can transfer files. /home/ftp is the root ftp directory and then each user has their own home directory which they can't navigate away from (/ home/ftp/user1, /home/ftp/user2, etc.)
Now I am able to connect to the FTP server both remotely and internally using Filezilla or the command terminal, however not a web browser (which the customer prefers), instead I get the "550 failed to change directory" error message (firefox). Does this have anything to do with permissions or ownership over the ftp directory or the user directories? Any help is appreciated.
