Okay, I've been googling around for a long time and nobody seemed to solve this stupid window geometry remembering thing for gnome. So let's solve it.
We have a couple of questions that I don't know answers for: 1. How to track window when it closes? How to get it's name? (When we know it's name, we can certainly get everything else from xprop). 2. Where do we save closed window geometry and how do we assign it to the opening window? We could probably use 'devilspie', but it reads it's .ds files only when it starts. And we need to update that stuff at the moment window closes. 3. The bottom line is that it should work under any window manager: compiz or metacity or whatever. Any suggestions? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ubuntu Linux" group.
