At least now I'm fairly sure the suspend problem is caused by the 'radeon' driver (thanks Bartosz!). However, there doesn't seem to be a solution, since I can't use the propriety drivers... Is this a bug in the 'radeon' driver that should be reported? Or maybe it already has been...
