Hmmmm (thinking, thinking, thinking ....!!).  Since we are in a "break
or fix" mode, lets try deleting the offending package info.
i. "rm  /var/lib/dpkg/updates/0051"  .  If 0051 is a directory do "rm -
r /var/lib/dpkg/updates/0051"
j. update package info "apt-get --fix-broken update"
k. upgrade "apt-get upgrade"
