thanks Janaka...;-) removed packages 0051 -> 0072 "apt-get --fix-broken update" said I needed to run "dpkg --configure - a"
tried upgrade command, but it was not known ! anyway, can now boot into gui but some things are missing like sound, and if I start an application, it only has a reduced window, perhaps this has something to do with the packages that I deleted ? is there a way of loading these packages manually ? or at least finding out their real identity ?
