Hey, just installed Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper Drake -- It was the only copy
I had of Ubuntu and our internet has been down for some time.

I repartitioned and installed, and began downloading software updates.
It downloaded 3, and then I started the remaining 341. It'll download
about 40-60 at a time before my box completely freezes. No mouse,
keyboard response, nothing. I left it to update while I was gone and 8
hours later it was still completely frozen.

The only other time I've ever gotten a freeze like this regularly was
on an old box with no airflow. In the summer it would overheat, and
freeze completely like this.

I'm able to pick up where I left off whilst downloading updates, but I
honestly haven't the slightest idea how to even begin diagnosing this.
I'll wait untill updates finish to try and fix it, in case it is a
driver thing (as it could very well be.), but I was wondering if
anyone had any ideas.

Thanks, Roerick
