Tang: Thanks for the help. I did manage to finally dig up a partial solution to the programs not starting after awhile. It seems - according to the article - if the system isn't fully updated and everything exactly in sync (I'm doing this from memory) it causes this. But in terminal do a:
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade sudo apt-get autoremove sudo apt-get purge sudo apt-get autoclean It seems to stopped this problem. The laptop was doing this as well. I did the same above on it, and it seems to have cleared up the problem. Of course, this hasn't solved everything, but now your info has given me somewhere else to turn too to finally clear up the GIMPShop, and maybe even WINE problems. Thanks for the help! - Kc Tang wrote: > Hi, KC. > In Ubuntu, logs can be found at System/Administration/System Log. > > Also in Ubuntu, System/Administration/System Monitor (it will also > run as a standard panel applet) gives a quick glimpse of what is > hogging the system and when. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ubuntu Linux" group.
