For me its fixed in 9.10, at least with this kernel: Linux hydra 2.6.31-9-rt #152-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT RT Thu Oct 15 13:22:24 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
It has been running about 4 or 5 hours downloading stuff without issues. In the previous bug reports (this and others that seems to be duplicates of this) the bug aparently happened on any multi-procesor machine, but now it seems to happen only on AMD, or we are talking about different bugs. I'm on a Intel Core 2 Q6600. Also note, the new -rt kernel seems to work very well for me :D. -- 9.04 x86/amd64 - Cursor Slow, then Freeze fter Login https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/368638 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Studio Testers, which is subscribed to Ubuntu Studio.
