People always seem to say this has bidding. It doesn't. You buy what
you want if it's still available. Everything must be purchased,
though, so there is a timing element, meaning sometimes you will pay
more for something you really want.

I'm sure that is my failure as game explainer. Having only played one
2p game though, where boatmen were more-or-less plentiful (not
abundant), it just didn't occur to me.

Actually, Ed won that one by about 5 points. I had too many empty
mouths to feed.
