As I thought on it more another part I failed to grasp was the
importance of picking up a tile that also allowed me to place the
person as soon as I purchased it.  I spent my time trying to purchas
land pieces that fit into my existing layout but would often leave the
character that came with it stranded on the shore.

If I had must purchased more intelligently so that as I got a tile I
could also place the person on the island I would have been much
better off.
