Yes, we'll be receiving copies of the game to test. "So there are 2 different games
Game 1: Ship to Ship combat game. Configuration has not been decided but we'll likely stay AWAY from blind/collectible. Game 2: Co-Op, mission based game. Focus will be on 4 crew crew memebers solving mission co-operatively. This game will be boxed like any other board game. Likely to see expansions in the future (new crew members, new settings, new missions, etc). I realize the WizKids/HeroClix brand names imply quite a bit in terms of business model but you should not the following. Game 1 (ship-to-ship) Although the game borrows a decent amount of "style" from the HeroClix brethren, it is not compatible and does not use the PAC (Powers and abilities) card. Additionally, it layers in new elements enhance the play experience. Game 2: (co-op mission game) uses the clix dial in an entirely new way. Game 1 will likely be a WYSIWYG config and Game 2 will DEFINITELY be WYSIWYG game (like any other board game)." --Justin Ziran (WizKids/NECA) On Thu, Jun 17, 2010 at 10:38 AM, Kenneth Li <[email protected]> wrote: > There is also a "compensation"/"reward" for help play testing for games. > > In the boardgame/wargame community, usually the playtester will be send a > copy of the game when the game get published. > > Is that also true for WizKids?
