A few Interesting points to note:
The US is number 17 beaten by among others by Costa Rica, Slovenia and Portugal.
Uganda is number 52 in the world and number 8 in Africa. We should aim higher. How can we be beaten by the likes of Nigeria
Kenya (the home of The East African/Nation -- the owners of the Monitor) are Number 75
Tanzania also beats Kenya at number 62
American key allie Israel is at 92
Largest democracy in the world, India is at 80
China is second from last at 138
Nigeria beats Uganda with number 49
I am eagerly awaiting for the reactions of those quarters of the population who jump on International statistics waving them with biblical zeal (like the Transparency International Corrutpion Index) that show Uganda near the bottom, to see if they will praise Uganda's high ranking this time. I bet this will not happen and this index will be dismissed by them. I await to be proved wrong!
The US's poor showing at 17 (it should have been in the top 3) lowers its moral authroity to shout at others.
The high ranking of Germany and the Scandinavian countries elevates even higher thier authority to critisize. They are leading by examples we should emulate.
