Mr. Matovu, you are very right. It is obviously clear that Uganda is a nation of nations, every ethnic group has this concept of "our land" which means that ethnic identity is as strong (if not stronger than) national identity. Therefore a system that forces Ugandans to prentend that they are all one and the same, is prone to eventually fail because it is built on falsehood. The most acceptable system (and most realistic) given the circumstances and in light of the history of Uganda and how she came to be through amalgamations of different cultural states, is federalism.

Mitayo,

Do not mis-represent the policy of fednet. What
Brother Ochan posted is within the confines of fednet
because it has to do with regional issues.

That's exactly what fednet is trying to promote,
giving people the right to determine affairs of their
local areas.

If the people do not want Saleh's SSP, that is OK and
falls within the confines of federo. Let the local
people have a say in the formulation of policies which
affect their daily lives.

Had Saleh consulted the people in Acholi, they would
have had a hand in SSP and may be they would not have
been hostile to it.
