FORMER External Security Organisation (ESO) chief David Pulkol has asked Government to
accept Parliament's resolution to declare the northern and eastern regions disaster
areas.
He was yesterday presenting a paper on the northern war at Regency Hotel in Kampala.
Pulkol said the declaration would enable victims of war, most of whom live in IDP
camps to benefit from emergency aid from donors.
"There are governments and partners willing to assist Uganda provided those regions
are declared disaster areas," he said.

He told the Government not to misunderstand Parliament's resolution to mean that it
had failed to end war which has forced over one million people into camps
The conference was organised by the National Organisations of Trade Unions.
