If you have been following the issues in the city closely, you will realize
that yesterday was the last day of Bill Blair as the Toronto Police chief.
So we have spent the weekend in transitional format as Chief Bill Blair is
exiting office for the city to welcome a new Police Chief in the names of
Mark Saunders. Mark has been titled designate Police Chief from the day he
was appointed, but somehow either today or tomorrow he will be sworn in to a
full chief. Now here is the part I need to raise this morning now that
Chief Blair is officially out of the leadership of Toronto Police Services.
Reliable sources are telling us that Bill Blair is hopping to run this
Federal election of this year, as a Federal Liberal Candidate. We believe
that he is targeting the ridding of Scarborough South West. If the
information we have is true, Chief Bill Blair has joined The Trudeau team.
Mr Stephen Harper the election is this year sir. Just reminding you in case
you have been so busy to remember that very minor detail.
