Akim Odong
I have come up with solutions and many times but you ignore them and a classic
example is when I told you that we need to stop investing billions of dollars
in an army in Uganda you ran from the thread for you are stuck into Uganda
always being a military base. But let me go to the point I need to put across,
I ask questions for so called Federalist try and so hard to choke this system
into our throats without studying the effects. And trust me I have lived into
this system for a couple of years and it simply cannot work in Uganda. When I
get a time I am going to respond to the writing you did with my questions to
expand on this part. Uganda’s problem is not the system it is led by, but a
failure of Ugandans to create a good leadership with in themselves. And I will
throw an easy example to you, surely we have spent zillions of hours lamenting
how corrupt but bad leader is Museveni, but how is Mengo running really? Are
they any better? Are they accountable to the people? How? Do you know how much
money they have but how they spend it? A UN organization has been pumping money
into Mengo, do you know how much and how it was/is spent? Who is my
representative in Mengo? How did he/she get there and how can he/she be
changed? Now there is another crap in Northern Uganda The Acholi Paramount
Chief, Rwot David Onen Achana II , this man is sadly being asked by the
Norwegians how he spent the money that was supposed to look after his people.
So we have a tax payer in Norway that felt that Acholi needed financial
assistance and handed the money to this Goof that never saw a problem eating it
with its cronies.
Akim Odong if you build a Federal system in Uganda it needs a base of these two
Goofs. How will they be reliable? Is Museveni running Mengo today? But is
Museveni running Acholi kingdom? Why do we find the exact problems in Uganda
government into these institutions? Akim how many camps are in FDC in UPC let
alone DP? Is Museveni running those too? My God UPC has even failed to today to
create the grass root networks which are the fundamental base of the party.
They are almost killing each other, is Museveni in Uganda house? Does he run
UNAA as well? UAH is owned by Abbey Semuwemba not Museveni, yet the very people
that preach how terrible Museveni is are the ones throwing out threats to
murder me and many other members they do not agree with. Are you going to turn
Uganda political parties, UNAA, UAH and cultural institutions into Federal
system as well? May be you have a much larger problem you refuse to attack? May
be we were not ready for independence. And that is where some of us get stuck
when you degree holders keep on bringing solutions that simply will not work as
you have created them all our lives, and we keep on suffering under those
solutions all our lives when you and your grandchildren are in diaspora where
they’re safe. Can you tell me a simple gain we have achieved from removing Amin
from power? But how many lives did we lose? Was it worth it? And yet I am not a
degree holder but a simple critical thinker that sits on my bed and watch
stupid decisions crafted by degree holders that keep on failing. And the latest
one is to turn our country to a federal system.
Just how stupid are Uganda degree holders? And I am just asking
!!!!!

It seems all you do is ask questions. When do you ever come up with solutions,
if i we may exchange roles!

But friends
It is amazing how Ugandans in the diaspora are questioning the use of uncouth
language by Ugandans in Uganda when they themselves, are the masters and
champions of the use of uncouth language. It is possible that the use of
uncouth language was and is being introduced by visiting or returning Ugandan
in diaspora. One does not need to go far to confirm this, just spend only five
minutes on UAH forum and you will discover the origin of the use of uncivilized
and primitive language. The ones who have mastered and the greatest promoters
of the uncouth language are the following:
* Peter Gwokto
* George Okello
* Ocen Nekyon
* Akim Adong
*
* If you dispute what I have stated, wait and see how they will respond
to this posting. I have often wondered what type of friends these people have
in their new countries. It is very rare for example to find Canadians using
abusive language because they are family oriented people and tend to spend
weekends with their children and in the summers visit cottages together. Using
abusive language in front of children does not apply in this kind of setting.
Why and how Ugandans are developing this strange character in countries that
care so much about self-respect, dignity and cultural integrity leaves so much
to be desired.
This leads to a major question I often ask, does removing a government in
Uganda offer any solution when culture itself has been turned upside down? A
country without culture has no future. Those who are questioning the use of
uncouth language in Uganda need to do some self-inner examination to see if
they have any moral authorities to question the behavior and character of
Ugandans inside. Remember Jesus said: "Let he who has never sinned throw the
first stone". Nobody did! What does that tell you. If Ugandans in the diaspora
have any characters left in them, this forum would have been a pillar for
building a better Uganda in which respect and human dignity are re-introduced.
Unfortunately, this has not happened and will never happen as the reputation of
the forum is ruined beyond repair.

Gwokto;
You have been away for far too long. That is how everybody in Uganda speaks.
worst of it all, every body now wants to speak like Mu7 with too much
hesitation, too much rrrrs, to many anecdotes and never seriously bringing a
sentence to completion without an unfitting joke of sort. We are used to it!
