There is currently about 1000 staff running The American embassy and
consulates in Russia. On Friday or there about the foreign ministry
announced a reduction of those staff by 455. Russia also instructed United
States to move out of a Recreation retreat that is on the outskirt of
Moscow. There are changes into those decisions. Americans have been
instructed to the following with immediate effect, the number of diplomats
announced by foreign ministry to be 455 has just been upgraded to 755. So
when you consider all Americans that work in the embassy and all consulates,
755 of them must leave Russia as soon as possible. Secondly, last Friday
Americans were ordered to vacate the summer house on out-skirts of Moscow,
they have now been instructed to also leave the storage facility which is in
the city as well. President Putin has said and I directly quote An upturn
in Russia's relations with Washington could not be expected any time soon,
We have waited long enough, hoping that the situation would perhaps change
for the better, but it seems that even if the situation is changing, it's
not for any time soon."
With these changes that are going to be very expensive to many countries out
there, especially Europe that has been functioning through American
facilities, one hopes Democrats now get the White House.
