Surely, technical limitations aside, the Olympics at least in England, should be about that old English engineering view of, we'll do it because we can. *Insert national anthem fading in on background* Because we want to show the world our best. *Cannon fire* Because at least once we were a worldwide engineering heavyweight (circa 1870). *Cross fade to kazoos* But instead we show that we're just as sluggish as we've been for the last 30 years and really are losing our touch.
