whatever happened to the firmware updates in the end?
whilst I searching for information on this, I came across some new information on this blog: http://huaweihg612hacking.wordpress.com/2013/03/26/firmware-with-the-newest-hardware-driver-blog/ I tried the temporary hack of a newer BLOB for the VDSL driver, and got a tiny improvement in performance. that blog is where I originally got the information for flashing "my" Huawei hg612 with the Huawei original firmware, replacing the crippled BT firmware, and thus restoring the 2nd LAN port and gaining access to the full stats.
