I will take a look at seeing what is involved with renumbering the ASN
and see what we decide to do.
The other option is to have BGP communities based on a private ASN
scheme that are not necessarily aligned with your operating ASN.
Not ideal, but routers don't care what you use for BGP communities, as
long as it has some significance inside your network.
At any rate, if pleading with your RIR to renumber your ASN into a
16-bit one falls on deaf ears, you might need to seriously consider that
option.
