#1 is pretty standard and will work fine. #2 means that you will need to use unregistered numbers for the global administrator part of the bgp community. If you're ok with using unregistered numbers in this sort of situation, it will work. Personally I think it's pretty ghetto for transit service and if a transit provider were to present me with this as an option, I'd use a different provider. Nick
