Hi Neil,

Your criticism seems anchored around some assumptions on how the
participants operate their networks; but whatever their methods,
participants are adults and autonomously operate their own network. Perhaps
I’m misreading you, but you seem to suggest that people are “crazy” for
participating in an event which designed to be an educational opportunity,
that doesn’t sit well with me.

I expect newcomers to work in their lab, a virtual lab, or on a select few
EBGP sessions suitable for experimentation. People sharing and talking
about real world configurations has proven to be quite valuable in the
NLNOG community. It’s shows, because the Netherlands currently is firmly #1
in RPKI adoption.

Kind regards,

Job

Ps. Alternatively, can you lead the way and show us how to deploy RPKI?
Thanks! :-)
