It sounds to me like they are still limiting it to 500M somewhere.
I would be *very* surprised if any leased lines from any UK providers
behaved like the BTNet person told you (perhaps they are more used to
dealing with retail customers complaining about poor speed tests?).
I'd expect to be able to max out 1G on this line - or a pretty close
approximation to it. I know if I sold a customer a 1G connection where
they could only use 500M of per TCP connection, they'd rightfully grumble.
Perhaps this is one for Neil to have a gentle poke at?
