The major overall issue is that the billing side of things is limited and inflexible. If you want to take automatic payments then really the only option is Stripe. Even then, it will only automatically collect the standard monthly recurring billing. If you want to vary it, by applying a service credit or invoicing a new bit of hardware for example, then that won't be taken into account at all. Another big thing we found was inconsistencies in the billing. When we moved to Stripe we found a chunk of customers (probably 10-15 in total) who UCRM had stopped invoicing and collecting payments for around 18 months prior, as well as a handful that for some odd reason had been overbilled. To be honest it was a handy platform when we started up and had no budget at all for that sort of thing, but it rapidly became more of a hindrance than a help and just wasn't up to the job for an expanding company.
